I am coordinating an exhibit to be opened next spring at Arlington National Cemetery.
This exhibit will be at the main visitors center and will focus on bugles and Taps, the military bugle call that is sounded for funerals at ANC.
This project is is being set up by Arlington with cooperation from the Service Bands in the Washington area. I met with the Arlington Superintendent, Mr. Metzler, earlier this month and he is very excited about the project.
I am looking for any item of interest that visitors to the web page might like to contribute to the exhibit. Items should be bugle related or related to Taps or other bugle calls.
Items we are looking for:
- Bugles from any time period
- cords and pennants
- music/bugle manuals
- music/bugle insignias
- pictures of military buglers
- sheet music
- historical documents, etc.
Items will be on a loan basis.
